The Loro Parque-Siam Park Cicloturista cycling event successfully celebrates its thirteenth edition

9 November, 2021

After a break in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Loro Parque-Siam Park Cicloturista cycling event has resumed its activity and successfully celebrated its thirteenth edition this Sunday, 7 November. On this occasion, the organisers brought together hundreds of cycling enthusiasts who were able to enjoy, with all the safety measures, 80 kilometres of spectacle and sport in its purest form.

The start took place in Loro Parque at 9:00 in the morning and went through the municipalities of Puerto de la Cruz, Los Realejos, San Juan de la Rambla, Icod de los Vinos, El Tanque, Santiago del Teide, Guía de Isora and Adeje, where it ended when it reached the Siam Park facilities at around 14:00 in the afternoon.

The cycling event took place normally, without any surprises and at an optimum pace. All the participants were welcomed at the best water park in the world with a very complete snack that allowed them to replenish their energy after several hours of hard work.

In addition, a raffle was held to give away numerous gifts to all participants. After the celebration, the participants were able to share, together with their families, an afternoon of fun in Siam Park discovering each and every one of its spectacular attractions.

The Loro Parque-Siam Park Cicloturista cycling event has established itself as one of the most prestigious and popular non-competitive sporting events on Tenerife’s cycling calendar. Through this type of initiative, Loro Parque, Siam Park and the Cabildo of Tenerife seek to raise awareness among the population about the importance of practising sport and promoting sustainable tourism and respect for nature, elements that are perfectly combined in the event. Prestigious brands and institutions, such as Loro Parque Fundación; Fonteide; Isola; Frutas Cruz Santa; Fruvesur; Plátanos Pepe; Europastry; Compañía Cervecera de Canarias with Red Bull; Ahembo with Pepsi MAX, and Paluper, supported the event.

Siam Park is the absolute champion and named best water park in Europe for the tenth time in a row

4 October, 2021

Siam Park proves it every year: it is unrivalled. Once again, it has emerged as the absolute champion of water parks, having been distinguished as the best in Europe for the tenth consecutive year. The Park, located in Tenerife, has won the European Star Award, awarded by the leading publication and benchmark in the evaluation of theme parks, Kirmes & Park Revue, every year since this award has existed.

Likewise, one of Siam Park’s star attractions has also received great recognition: the spectacular Singha has won the award for the best attraction in Europe, reinforcing its leadership as a pioneering facility with an innovative water propulsion design. Already in 2015, the IAAPA had recognised it as Best New Water Attraction of the Year, as it is, more than a slide, a real water roller coaster with high-speed curves and 14 changes of direction in which to reach 6 m/s uphill and up to 18 m/s downhill, guaranteeing a real injection of adrenaline and fun.

Thus, on a regional level, it has established itself as one of the best leisure alternatives in the Canary Islands and, on an international level, it has consolidated its position as the best water park in the world with distinctions such as the Travellers’ Choice Award from TripAdvisor for seven consecutive years, the European Star Award for ten consecutive years, or the Park World Excellence Award on two occasions, among many others. In fact, Siam Park is the only water park with so many awards, always being far ahead of its competitors. Also, many of Siam Park’s attractions have received their own awards, such as Singha, Kinnaree or The Dragon.

For the selection of the winners of this edition, the jury, formed by an independent team of experts, has distinguished those parks that have stood out, in an exceptional way, for their achievements in matters such as innovation or entrepreneurship, especially valuing the prevention measures implemented for the fight against COVID-19. In this sense, Siam Park has the highest safety standards for both visitors and its staff and has intensified the cleaning protocols of all areas.

Siam Park reaches 10 million visitors since opening in 2008

15 September, 2021

This morning, Wednesday 15th September, Siam Park has reached 10 million visitors who have visited its facilities since it opened in September 2008. At a time that has been fateful for tourism due to the crisis generated by COVID-19 and after 14 months of closure, the Park, more spectacular than ever, has reached a historic figure before the end of 2021, a very positive figure that reinforces its position as a benchmark for the sector.

The arrival of the 10,000,000th customer coincided with the entrance of a family of three, a couple with a 5-year-old girl, who were welcomed to the Park with flowers and balloons and presented with a villa, bottle of champagne and all-inclusive bracelets to enjoy the Siam Park experience in all its splendour.

Among these 10 million visitors are numerous personalities, politicians, actors, footballers and other celebrities, such as Shakira, Paz Vega, Matt Damon, Steve Aoki, Courtois, Di María or Pedrito, among many others.

Thus, on a regional level, it has established itself as one of the best leisure alternatives in the Canary Islands and, on an international level, it has consolidated its position as the best water park in the world with distinctions such as the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice for seven consecutive years, the European Star Award for nine consecutive years, or the Park World Excellence Award on two occasions, among many others. In fact, Siam Park is the only water park with so many awards, always being far ahead of its competitors. Along the same lines, many of Siam Park’s attractions have received their own awards, such as Singha, Kinnaree or The Dragon.

International organisations of maximum influence in the attractions industry, such as the World Waterpark Organisation (WWA) or the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) have valued the quality of the Park and its capacity for innovation, as well as the development of knowledge in the sector’s industry.

Likewise, since its inauguration 13 years ago, the more than 10 million visitors who have enjoyed the Park endorse the excellence of its facilities, technological complexity and environmental commitment, which have been the key elements for its international positioning and the various awards it has received during this time.

Siam Park finally reopened its doors this weekend. On Saturday 29 May, the day before the Day of the Canary Islands, the best water park in the world welcomed its visitors back and from now on it will be open to the public on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 to 18:00.

In addition, on Friday morning, 28 May, an exclusive pre-opening took place for owners of an annual ticket, who were able to enjoy the park for the first time after a long wait. During the day, Christoph Kiessling, Vice President of Loro Parque Company and Director of Siam Park, was also visited by authorities and friends, such as the Mayor of Adeje, José Miguel Rodríguez Fraga, and shared with the media all the news and information about the security measures and the new operations of the Water Kingdom.

Siam Park announces its long-awaited reopening at FITUR

19 May, 2021

The president of the Loro Parque Company, Wolfgang Kiessling, announced this morning, Wednesday 19th May, that Siam Park will open its doors from next Saturday, 29th May, every weekend from 10:00 to 18:00. He did so within the framework of FITUR, the prestigious international tourism fair that takes place every year in Madrid and which has resumed its celebration after the break caused by COVID-19.

The moment that millions of visitors to Siam Park have been waiting for has finally arrived: the return of the best water park in the world after 14 months of forced closure. In fact, a great welcome is expected, similar to what has already happened at Loro Parque and the Poema del Mar aquarium. Residents and tourists who are already in the archipelago have been very happy and have filled their facilities according to the limitations imposed by the current situation.

From today until 23 May, visitors will be able to visit the stand (9D02) in Hall 9, where they will find all kinds of information, new products and news. The Company, which has already arranged numerous meetings with tour operators, is thus relaunching its activity and reinforcing its position as a leading tourism group.

Siam Park, best water park in the world for the seventh year in a row

Despite having been closed for more than a year, there is still no doubt: Siam Park is the best water park in the world, and it is in Spain. This has been confirmed by the Travellers’ Choice Award, which Siam Park has received for seven consecutive years thanks to the positive evaluations of its visitors on the prestigious travel portal TripAdvisor. Siam Park is the only park to have achieved this distinction so many times in a row, and also the only park to have received this award since TripAdvisor launched the “water parks” category seven years ago.

This repeated recognition is undoubtedly the result of the constant innovation and reinvestment of the Loro Parque Company in all its projects, with which it always pursues excellence. In addition to being a reference in the TripAdvisor awards, it also enjoys international recognition thanks to the European Star Award for Best Water Park in Europe for the ninth consecutive year, or the Park World Excellence Award, which recognised it in 2019 as Best Water Park of the Year, among many others that make it the most recognised and awarded park on the planet. Singha is also the number one attraction in the world, followed by The Dragon and the Tower of Power.

In addition to its spectacular attractions, the beauty of this park is, in itself, an incomparable attraction, and nothing compares to being able to enjoy unique attractions in the world, in an unprecedented setting of lush vegetation and Thai design and decoration. Visitors will be able to experience first-hand the thrills of Tower of Power and its 28-metre-high slide as well as Singha and many other impressive state-of-the-art attractions without which a holiday in Tenerife would not be complete.

And for those seeking relaxation in an exclusive environment, Siam Park offers Siam Beach, the most paradisiacal beach with artificial waves in the Canary Islands, where the incredible waves of The Wave Palace break. Siam Park, located in Adeje, Tenerife, is a place where good weather and fun are guaranteed all year round. This makes it another must-see if you are travelling to the Canary Islands.
