Considered the “Oscar” of the amusement park industry awards, it recognizes the excellence of the exceptional water park in Tenerife.

Siam Park, the water park located on the island of Tenerife, has just been honored with the prestigious Applause Award 2024, considered as “the Oscar” within the global amusement park industry. This great recognition was awarded on Sunday, March 3rd, at a ceremony held at the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas during a gala where IAAPA also presented its annual awards. This is the first time that the IAAPA Honors and the Applause Award have come together this year to celebrate excellence and innovation in the entertainment park sector.

“We are very excited that the Applause Award joins the IAAPA Honors presentation. The idea of this new event is to celebrate excellence in the global attractions industry, but also to emphasize what each of the attendees can learn from the award winners to improve their own business,” says Jakob Wahl, CEO and president of IAAPA.

The Applause Award is an international accolade given by Liseberg, a large theme park in Gothenburg, Sweden, awarded biennially to the amusement park that “has inspired the industry with its insight, originality, and strong business development through its management, operations, and creative achievements,” explains Andreas Veilstrup Andersen, president and CEO of the Liseberg Group and chairman of the Applause Award Board. The award, which began in 1980 with the recognition of Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, has recognized the best in this industry around the world every two years. A cast in which Siam Park now enters with all honors, thanks to the quality and innovation features that make the Water Kingdom the highest-rated water park on the planet. A Recognition of Excellence

This award adds to the long list of accolades for Siam Park, which in 2024 received for the ninth time the recognition as the Traveller’s Best of The Best from Trip Advisor’s customers, the largest travel portal on the planet. In addition, it has been awarded twelve times with the European Star Award for the Best Water Park in Europe and with 3 editions of the Park World Excellence Award.

Chistoph Kiessling, vice president of the Loro Parque Group, pointed out the importance of this achievement:

“For us, this award is very special because it comes from our own sector and values the enormous effort we maintain in Siam Park, to constantly innovate, with the highest quality standards, always in search of excellence.”

The vice president also wanted to highlight the value of the human team of Siam Park “that makes it possible to offer clients a perfect experience, in every sense, on each visit”.

The award, designed by the Swedish sculptor Astri Taube, consists of a bronze statue of two hands clapping, in a perfect recreation of applause for success. This award is of great relevance as it represents recognition made by the amusement park industry itself, applying the highest standards of demand in all areas of evaluation and honors a park whose management, operations, and creative achievements have inspired the industry with foresight, originality, and solid business development.

Siam Park unveils Saifa: the world’s most vertiginous slide

The best theme and water park in the world has just inaugurated its new installation that will become, due to its spectacular nature, a magnet for adrenaline lovers from all over the world. Conceived as a double slide, Saifa begins its dizzying ride at 82 metres high, taking action and speed lovers through an intense, adrenaline-pumping

experience. The two slides, which start parallel to each other, take you on an incredible ride that includes 360-degree turns, switchbacks and crossings on the park’s longest installation: 306 metres in length.

Under the descriptive name of Saifa, Thai for lightning, the new attraction responds to what its name suggests: maximum speed, adrenaline and excitement. Saifa allows you to experience a mind-blowing speed of 10 metres per second, on a course that ends with a junction where the two slides run parallel and in opposite directions: a peak moment of adrenaline and excitement.

The water park once again boasts the innovation applied to fun that has earned it recognition as the World’s Best Theme Park and Water Park on several occasions. This award, given by TripAdvisor based on the ratings of customers who have enjoyed the park, has highlighted the quality of the facilities for nine years in a row, most recently this summer. In all likelihood, the new attraction will also receive the highest accolades for its originality, attractiveness and the innovation of a facility that also meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

Siam Park hosts the presentation of the candidates for ‘Miss Sur 2022″

Today, Friday, August 12, the 18 candidates for ‘Miss sur’ 2022 were presented at Siam Park. The event took place in the area called “Champagne club”. The young ladies themselves had the opportunity to get to know this area and, in addition, they experienced the adrenaline rush in most of the attractions, this time through “SIAM NIGHT”, nights of real fun under the moon, which is taking place during the months of July and August, between 20:00 and 00:00 hours (Fridays and Saturdays).

In addition to the young aspirants, Mr. José Domingo Regalado, mayor of Granadilla de Abona and Sandro Pérgola, organizer and director of Miss Sur, were present.

The ‘Miss Sur’ gala, whose origins date back to 2012, celebrates its tenth anniversary. The event will take place on Saturday, August 27 in the Plaza de El Medano, Granadilla de Abona. The gala will begin at 9:00 pm and admission is free.

The mayor and the promoter emphasized that ‘Miss Sur’ is not just a conventional beauty contest, since the aspirants have the opportunity to develop themselves in different areas of communication, image and healthy lifestyle. In addition, during the course of ‘Miss Sur’, values such as respect, mutual support, empathy and teamwork are encouraged. These are some of the elements that make this contest a learning and development opportunity for all of them, apart from winning the contest.

Siam Night returns to Siam Park

Summer has just begun and Siam Park is getting ready to start its long-awaited Siam Nights, nights of authentic fun under the moon during the months of July and August. It will start on 1st July, every Friday and Saturday from 20:00 to 00:00 hours.

Siam Night is a place where adrenaline and relax come together. Visitors will enjoy live music, while experiencing incredible emotions in our attractions. All this in a unique environment. An illuminated Thai village, accompanied by the privileged climate offered by the Tenerife night.

Siam Night has proven to be a success in its previous editions, thanks to an attractive and very refreshing proposal that has made tens of thousands of young people and entire families enjoy it in a unique way. Unbeatable attractions, the best chill out rhythms provided by a DJ, buffet on the white sandy beach and the best summer atmosphere make every visit unforgettable.

Thanks to this initiative, Siam Park enriches the tourist attraction of the Islands by enhancing the complementary offer and demonstrating how tourist facilities improve the competitiveness of a destination. Opened in 2008, this Water Kingdom has been named best theme park in the world by Tripadvisor. Throughout its history, it has won numerous awards thanks to its commitment to innovation and excellence, the hallmark of the Loro Parque Company.

Siam Park is recognized as the best theme park in the world

Siam Park continues to make history, having just been recognized as the best amusement park in the world according to the important travel website TripAdvisor, by winning the Travellers’ Choice Awards once again. Since 2014, Siam Park has been the best water park in the world for eight consecutive years, but in 2022 it has gone one step further. In this edition of the award, the category has been amplified from being about water parks exclusively, to theme parks in general. This fact makes the recognition even more important, as the competition is much tougher, especially within the entertainment industry.

Siam Park has not only strengthened its position as a water park, but has now also become the number one amusement park in the world. Undoubtedly, a transcendental milestone in a trajectory of success. “This is an achievement that is the fruit of the hard work and dedication of all of us who are part of this company. Thanks to our staff members for achieving the satisfaction of our visitors, reflected in their smiles, which undoubtedly leads us to excellence,” says Siam Park president Christoph Kiessling.

Our visitors place us at the top of the list

The Travellers’ Choice Awards are given to the best experiences rated by visitors. Siam Park has been the highest rated company by its guests for 8 years in a row. It is no coincidence; the impressive attractions within a lush environment that transports its visitors to the exotic Thai villas generate a unique sensation.

TripAdvisor is the largest travel platform in the world, visited by the millions of tourists that the Island receives. Therefore, the consolidation of Siam Park in this portal is not only good news for it, but for the touristic sector in general, having such an important attraction, which enhances Tenerife as a destination.

This repeated recognition is undoubtedly the result of the constant innovation and reinvestment of the Loro Parque Company in all its projects. 2022 is a year that will be one to remember, as this excellent news coincides with the group’s 50th anniversary.

Siam Park is the absolute champion and named best water park in Europe for the tenth time in a row

Siam Park proves it every year: it is unrivalled. Once again, it has emerged as the absolute champion of water parks, having been distinguished as the best in Europe for the tenth consecutive year. The Park, located in Tenerife, has won the European Star Award, awarded by the leading publication and benchmark in the evaluation of theme parks, Kirmes & Park Revue, every year since this award has existed.

Likewise, one of Siam Park’s star attractions has also received great recognition: the spectacular Singha has won the award for the best attraction in Europe, reinforcing its leadership as a pioneering facility with an innovative water propulsion design. Already in 2015, the IAAPA had recognised it as Best New Water Attraction of the Year, as it is, more than a slide, a real water roller coaster with high-speed curves and 14 changes of direction in which to reach 6 m/s uphill and up to 18 m/s downhill, guaranteeing a real injection of adrenaline and fun.

Thus, on a regional level, it has established itself as one of the best leisure alternatives in the Canary Islands and, on an international level, it has consolidated its position as the best water park in the world with distinctions such as the Travellers’ Choice Award from TripAdvisor for seven consecutive years, the European Star Award for ten consecutive years, or the Park World Excellence Award on two occasions, among many others. In fact, Siam Park is the only water park with so many awards, always being far ahead of its competitors. Also, many of Siam Park’s attractions have received their own awards, such as Singha, Kinnaree or The Dragon.

For the selection of the winners of this edition, the jury, formed by an independent team of experts, has distinguished those parks that have stood out, in an exceptional way, for their achievements in matters such as innovation or entrepreneurship, especially valuing the prevention measures implemented for the fight against COVID-19. In this sense, Siam Park has the highest safety standards for both visitors and its staff and has intensified the cleaning protocols of all areas.

Siam Park reaches 10 million visitors since opening in 2008

This morning, Wednesday 15th September, Siam Park has reached 10 million visitors who have visited its facilities since it opened in September 2008. At a time that has been fateful for tourism due to the crisis generated by COVID-19 and after 14 months of closure, the Park, more spectacular than ever, has reached a historic figure before the end of 2021, a very positive figure that reinforces its position as a benchmark for the sector.

The arrival of the 10,000,000th customer coincided with the entrance of a family of three, a couple with a 5-year-old girl, who were welcomed to the Park with flowers and balloons and presented with a villa, bottle of champagne and all-inclusive bracelets to enjoy the Siam Park experience in all its splendour.

Among these 10 million visitors are numerous personalities, politicians, actors, footballers and other celebrities, such as Shakira, Paz Vega, Matt Damon, Steve Aoki, Courtois, Di María or Pedrito, among many others.

Thus, on a regional level, it has established itself as one of the best leisure alternatives in the Canary Islands and, on an international level, it has consolidated its position as the best water park in the world with distinctions such as the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice for seven consecutive years, the European Star Award for nine consecutive years, or the Park World Excellence Award on two occasions, among many others. In fact, Siam Park is the only water park with so many awards, always being far ahead of its competitors. Along the same lines, many of Siam Park’s attractions have received their own awards, such as Singha, Kinnaree or The Dragon.

International organisations of maximum influence in the attractions industry, such as the World Waterpark Organisation (WWA) or the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) have valued the quality of the Park and its capacity for innovation, as well as the development of knowledge in the sector’s industry.

Likewise, since its inauguration 13 years ago, the more than 10 million visitors who have enjoyed the Park endorse the excellence of its facilities, technological complexity and environmental commitment, which have been the key elements for its international positioning and the various awards it has received during this time.

Siam Park announces its long-awaited reopening at FITUR

The president of the Loro Parque Company, Wolfgang Kiessling, announced this morning, Wednesday 19th May, that Siam Park will open its doors from next Saturday, 29th May, every weekend from 10:00 to 18:00. He did so within the framework of FITUR, the prestigious international tourism fair that takes place every year in Madrid and which has resumed its celebration after the break caused by COVID-19.

The moment that millions of visitors to Siam Park have been waiting for has finally arrived: the return of the best water park in the world after 14 months of forced closure. In fact, a great welcome is expected, similar to what has already happened at Loro Parque and the Poema del Mar aquarium. Residents and tourists who are already in the archipelago have been very happy and have filled their facilities according to the limitations imposed by the current situation.

From today until 23 May, visitors will be able to visit the stand (9D02) in Hall 9, where they will find all kinds of information, new products and news. The Company, which has already arranged numerous meetings with tour operators, is thus relaunching its activity and reinforcing its position as a leading tourism group.

Siam Park, best water park in the world for the seventh year in a row

Despite having been closed for more than a year, there is still no doubt: Siam Park is the best water park in the world, and it is in Spain. This has been confirmed by the Travellers’ Choice Award, which Siam Park has received for seven consecutive years thanks to the positive evaluations of its visitors on the prestigious travel portal TripAdvisor. Siam Park is the only park to have achieved this distinction so many times in a row, and also the only park to have received this award since TripAdvisor launched the “water parks” category seven years ago.

This repeated recognition is undoubtedly the result of the constant innovation and reinvestment of the Loro Parque Company in all its projects, with which it always pursues excellence. In addition to being a reference in the TripAdvisor awards, it also enjoys international recognition thanks to the European Star Award for Best Water Park in Europe for the ninth consecutive year, or the Park World Excellence Award, which recognised it in 2019 as Best Water Park of the Year, among many others that make it the most recognised and awarded park on the planet. Singha is also the number one attraction in the world, followed by The Dragon and the Tower of Power.

In addition to its spectacular attractions, the beauty of this park is, in itself, an incomparable attraction, and nothing compares to being able to enjoy unique attractions in the world, in an unprecedented setting of lush vegetation and Thai design and decoration. Visitors will be able to experience first-hand the thrills of Tower of Power and its 28-metre-high slide as well as Singha and many other impressive state-of-the-art attractions without which a holiday in Tenerife would not be complete.

And for those seeking relaxation in an exclusive environment, Siam Park offers Siam Beach, the most paradisiacal beach with artificial waves in the Canary Islands, where the incredible waves of The Wave Palace break. Siam Park, located in Adeje, Tenerife, is a place where good weather and fun are guaranteed all year round. This makes it another must-see if you are travelling to the Canary Islands.

Siam Park is recognised as the best water park in Europe for the ninth consecutive year

Siam Park has once again won the distinction of best water park in Europe with the European Star Award! This is the ninth time that the leading publication and reference in the assessment of theme parks, Kirmes & Park Revue, has awarded this prize and Siam Park is the only park that has won every year since this award exists.

Two of the Park’s star attractions have also received great recognition. The spectacular Singha has won the award for the best attraction in Europe, reinforcing its leadership as a pioneering facility with an innovative water-powered design. In the year of its inauguration back in 2015, it was immediately recognised by the prestigious IAAPA as the Best New Attraction of the Year, as it is more than just a slide, it is a real water roller coaster with high-speed curves and 14 changes of direction in which you can reach 6 m/s uphill and up to 18 m/s downhill, guaranteeing a real adrenalin rush and fun. Fourth place in the same category went to Kinnaree.

This shows that this water theme park, also known as “Water Kingdom”, receives recognition for its attractions for both the older and younger members of the family, as it has won the most important award at European level within the entertainment industry.

This comes to join many other prestigious international distinctions, among them the TripAdvisor’s Travellers’s Choice Awards, which have recognized Siam Park as the Best Water park in the world for the seventh consecutive year. Among other, most recent achievements is the accreditation “Biosphere Certified – Parks”, which the Institute of Responsible Tourism has granted to Siam Park for four consecutive years to date.

To select the winners of this edition, the jury, made up of an independent team of experts, has distinguished those parks that have stood out, in an exceptional manner, for their achievements in areas such as innovation or entrepreneurship, especially valuing the prevention measures implemented to combat COVID-19. In this sense, Siam Park has the highest safety standards for both visitors and staff and has intensified the cleaning protocols in all areas.

Awaiting reopening

Since closing its doors on 15 March, Siam Park has continued to share content with its followers on social networks, inviting them to dream of a return to normality in which adrenaline, emotion and fun are the protagonists.

Some of its content has even reached more than 50 million people on its Facebook page, going around the world with unprecedented impact. This success, with results that continue to grow exponentially every day, reinforces the Park’s ongoing commitment to excellence.

Siam Park remains unrivaled: the Water Kingdom has been voted the best water park in the world for the seventh consecutive year

Siam Park has made history again! Once more, it has shown that it remains unrivalled among water parks, having received, for the seventh consecutive year, TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Award as the Best Water Park in the World. This recognition joins a long list of awards that recognize the success of Siam Park’s management based on a perfect combination of quality, innovation and excellence.

Among these, the Plaque for Merit in Tourism to the public-private collaboration for the modernisation of the Mature Destinations, a prestigious Award of the Council of Ministers of the Government of Spain that was presented to Siam Park by the President of the Government of Spain, Mariano Rajoy, in 2016. Furthermore, the European Star Award, which Siam Park received in 2019 for the eighth consecutive year as the “Best Water Park in Europe”, a distinction awarded by the leading magazine and reference in the assessment of theme parks, Kirmes & Park Revue. As such, no other travel destination in Europe counts with such a representation of world-class parks of attractions as the Canary Islands.

Awaiting the Reopening

Since closing its doors on March 15, 2020 due to the health crisis caused by the COVID-19, Siam Park has continued to share content with its followers on social networks, inviting them to dream of a return to normality in which adrenaline, excitement and fun are the protagonists. On one occasion, it has even reached over 50 million people on its Facebook page with a viral video of its famous Singha attraction, which has gone around the world and had an unprecedented impact. This success, with results that continue to grow exponentially every day, reinforces the Park’s ongoing commitment to excellence.

Adrenaline and Fun for the Entire Family

In addition to its spectacular attractions, the beauty of this park is, in itself, an incomparable attraction, and nothing compares to being able to enjoy unique attractions in the world, in an unprecedented venture in an environment of lush vegetation and Thai design and decoration. Visitors can experience first-hand the sensations that Tower of Power and its 28-meter-high slide produce; Singha, and many other impressive state-of-the-art attractions without which a holiday in Tenerife would be incomplete.

For those who are looking for relaxation in an exclusive atmosphere, Siam Park offers Siam Beach, the beach with the heavenly artificial waves in the Canary Islands, where the incredible waves of The Wave Palace break. Siam Park, located in Adeje, Tenerife, is a place where good weather and fun are guaranteed all year round, therefore, being an absolute “must” for any visitor to the Canary Islands.

Among the latest innovations at Siam Park is Patong Rapids, which beats by far the already incredible Mekong Rapids. It is even faster and runs through 235 meters of length with a zone of complete darkness, making you experience a unique sensation of speed and adrenaline. In addition, the little ones can enjoy Coco Beach, a new children’s area to live great adventures in the company of their family. In addition, they can play around a great fountain and a dry jungle area with bridges, towers, obstacles and nets on Bodhi Trail.

Siam Park, featured in the latest video clip by Anuel AA, Farruko and Zion

Siam Park has become the great protagonist of the latest video clip of Anuel AA, Farruko and Zion, released last week with exclusive images of the best water park in the world. The artists enjoyed a day in the Water Kingdom during a visit to Tenerife last year and there they recorded several sequences for the video of their latest song, “Que se joda”.

In it, you can see the singers living an experience of maximum adrenaline and fun in different attractions of Siam Park. The video clip has already surpassed 10,000,000 views on YouTube and has accumulated more than 2,500,000 views in the publications that the artists have posted on their social networks.

Despite the fact that the Park remains closed due to the health crisis caused by the COVID-19, it has continued to reap success and break records during this period. Thus, just a few weeks ago, a video about the famous Singha attraction was viralized, which went around the world and reached more than 50,000,000 people on its Facebook page.
